Due to the regulation within the UK all e-cigarette and vaping products purchased and shipped can only be done to those that are at least 18 years of age. We are required to verify the age of customers wishing to purchase products due to the law that was introduced on the 20th of May 2017.
We are authorised to use any personal information that is provided by you to perform the relevant age verification checks that are needed.
Why Does Age Need To Be Verified?
On October 1st 2015 it became illegal for adults to buy (or try to buy) tobacco products or e-cigarettes for someone under 18 years of age. Trading standards has said it is the responsibility of all retailers to ensure they do not sell age restricted products online to people who are under the minimum legal age.
How We Will Verify Your Age.
We use Age Checked to perform these checks and checks if you are over 18 years of age. Age Checked will take the details sent to them and check them against multiple databases such as their own verified database and national databases. Age Checked makes consumers anonymity a priority throughout the entire process and will not keep any personal data as once a check is done, the data held is wiped. Vape Resources will keep a record of the pass/failed status of this age verification check which means that this check will only need to be done once. If Age Checked return either a failed or unknown status, we would reach out asking for another form of identification which could be sending an image of your passport or driving license to us so we may check this manually. If you do not wish to send this, we can cancel and refund your order.
